The San Jaun County Treasurer's Office has now added this feature to better serve the citizens of the County.  Click to the right to access the pay online option.

Property Tax statements for tax year 2011, due in 2012, were mailed in January. Property taxes may be paid in full by April 30, or in two installments with the first half due by the last day of February and the second half due by June 15. The tax statement will include three payment coupons, one for a full payment, one for a first half payment and another for a second half payment. Please include the appropriate coupon along with your check.

The San Juan County Tax Lien Sale is held each year in November.  You must be present to participate.  Please bring a picture ID and be prepared to sign a W-9 and the county waiver stating you are not related to any parties that are employed by San Juan County.

The 2012 Sale will be announced here as soon as the date is determined. 

The Public Trustee handles Foreclosures of Deeds of Trust, Releases of Deeds of Trust and Tax Escrow Accounts for Land Purchase Contracts for properties located in San Juan County. The  powers, duties and procedures for the operation of the office are defined in Title 38 of the Colorado Revised Statutes.

 The San Juan County Public Trustee holds foreclosure sales at 10 a.m. Tuesdays on the east steps of the County Courthouse, 1557 Greene Street, Silverton, Colorado.
