Administrator  
The County Administrator is responsible for implementing policies set by the Board of County Commissioners, recommending improved management practices, and directing county operating divisions.

Combined Courts
The combined County and District courts provide timely and convenient judicial services in a courteous, dignified and respectful manner. We are committed to providing efficient judicial administration and problem resolution to all court users.

Planning and Building     
This department oversees zoning, land use, natural resources planning, and building inspection and permitting, community parks and trails, roadway and right-of-way access and contruction permitting, traffic management, site development review, parks and trails management.

Public Health Dept        
This department protects and improves the helath and environment of the people of San Juan County.

Public Trustee
The Public Trustee handles Foreclosures of Deeds of Trust, Releases of Deeds of Trust and Tax Escrow Accounts for Land Purchase Contracts for properties located in San Juan County.

Assessor  
The Assessor is responsible for valuing all real and personal property for property tax purposes. The Assessor's Office website contains general information about the property appraisal process as well as a searchable property database.

Board of County Commissioners
The three-member Board of County Commissioners works to represent the interests of the citizens of San Juan County at local, state, and national levels. Commissioners are elected at large from one of three geographic districts for four-year staggered terms.

Clerk & Recorder    
The Clerk and Recorder is the Chief Election Official, serves as an agent of the State for motor vehicle titling and licensing, is the ex-officio recorder of property and other legal documents, issues marriage licenses and certificates, and serves as the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners.

Coroner 
The County Coroner, through a medicolegal discipline, investigates and establishes the cause of death.

Sheriff
The  Sheriff's Office is responsible for law enforcement, investigative and detention functions throughout the county, and provides contract police services to the Town of Silverton.
